Need a new computer to go back to school?

Should it be Windows or should you buy a Mac?

While the never-ending argument over whether its better to have a Windows or Apple based computer can often be more religious than technical. Whichever side you come down on, here is one undeniable fact:

According to a recent Ziff-Davis article, Mac Laptops cost about twice as much as a comparably equipped Windows machine, desktop models almost three times as much.

And, as far as I know,  you still “can’t do it all” with a Mac – unless, of course, you run Windows on it!

I remain convinced that a well-built (not the cheapest box in the book) Windows machine that is reasonably maintained (hey, that is where I can help), can perform as well as any.
